My Badly Spelt Reviews Site

Archive for April, 2008

by M. L. Dillians

After giving it much thought, I decided it is time to get serious about losing weight. This tip is one of a series I intend to write - about diet ideas that worked for me.

My new idea was simple - do it my way and ignore all the advice.

The first idea I had was to weigh myself every day. Sure, I know you are thinking, all the so called experts advise that you should weigh yourself only once a week at most. Why? Because they think you will get “discouraged” if you weigh too often and don’t see results from your diet.

I don’t get feedback fast enough on my efforts or failures if I weigh in only once per week.

The importance of feedback.

By weighing myself every day, I learn immediately whether my actions and eating pattern from the previous day were successful or not in trying to lose weight.

Mothers Day Gifts Ideas

by Ramaratan

Mother’s day is almost here and I urge you to start thinking about unique gift ideas for your mom. I know many people that join the birth day gift for mom with the mother’s day gift. Don’t do it. She deserves the two gifts. And you could always find a gift to buy her.

After all, she is a woman there is only one day each year when we can really thank our mother for all the effort and love she has given to us. Let’s do it right. Let’s give her the perfect gifts for mother’s day.

My first suggestion would be to put aside for a few moments the tax and gift cost. Try to think your mother wants or what she needs. If you have figured out what your mother would like as a mother’s day gift, decide on your budget and start searching for it.

History has taught us to associate “cheap” with items that are shoddy or badly constructed. However, that is not necessarily the case. It is possible for quality to sit comfortably with low prices. This is the case for flower delivery. Shop around, and it is possible to locate attractive and freshly picked blooms at a discount.

Cheap flowers are usually considered those that you can pick up in bunches, or dozens of lower quality from a grocery store or gas station that doesn’t usually offer the full range of services of a true flower shop. They may not have an affiliation with any other company and likely do not deliver, or if they do only to a limited area.

Another source of cheap flowers may be day old flowers or those that have been marked down. These flowers are not as fresh as they once were, but could do in a pinch for a dinner party that night but would not be the kind you would want to give to a loved one.

Send a Mothers Day Gift

by Joey Butterfield

Have you ever just completely spaced out on something? You knew something that was really important was coming up but just couldn’t remember what it was? Then it hits you, it’s Mother’s Day. You forgot to send a card. Ok maybe not you, but what about your friend. If they did, what advice would you give them?

Flowers are an easy gift to arrange on short notice. It is important, though, to give it a twist. Remember that on Mother’s Day flowers should say “I’m thinking of you”, so red roses are not appropriate, unless they are your mother’s favorite flowers

Some simple and elegant choices for Mother’s Day flowers are daffodils, carnations, pansies, daisies, violets, honeysuckles, lilies, and other spring blooms. The ideal flower arrangement has several colors and types of flowers that compliment each other. If you don’t think you are good at picking this out, just look for one that seems to be one piece, without being just one type of flower
