Cholesterol is a fatty substance or lipid in animal tissue and fat. It is not harmful when kept to a limit, since they help the body perform various vital functions like aiding in fat digestion, building and maintaining cell membranes, hormone synthesis, and manufacturing Vitamin D. Since they are important to the body, we will only have to lower cholesterol naturally, so we do not have too much or too less of it.

Our body produces dietary cholesterol, but we also get them from the food we eat such as dairy products, eggs, and meat. The body can manufacture two types of cholesterol-LDL, the bad cholesterol, and HDL, the good cholesterol.

If we take in too much cholesterol, our veins and arteries could be clogged up, and we will be in danger of contracting health problems like obesity and cardiovascular ailments.

What Is Calorie Shifting?

by Marie Wilson

Suppose you could find a diet plan that didn’t require that you eat only salads for the rest of your life or that you virtually starve the weight off? That would be a great plan for sure. Now you have heard that “come on” before because we have all seen commercials for wonderful and expensive pills that supposedly let you eat all you want and the pills just melt the fat away.

So we have to be careful we don’t get hooked into some diet plan that isn’t realistic at all. Those pills that you can buy come with a lot of hidden problems. Mostly they either run your metabolism up so you “shake and sweat” the weight off without doing any exercise or they change your digestion so fatty substances are processed through which causes all kinds of odd behavior in your lower intestines. These pills mostly make you feel sick or edgy all the time and many times they account for little or no weight loss after you went to all that trouble.
